My new favorite Author

I absolutely love Cheri Huber. Her are some of her quotes:

"I am not here to become an acceptable person. I am here to accept the person I am (unconditional love and acceptance)."

"What you practice Is What You Have."

These are just a few of her wisdom words please see her blog to read on.

What I'm thankful for

The holiday season is a special time of the year full of cheer and food. Please take the time to give to someone less fortunate. You never know one's story and giving someone that intention will make an impression on them forever, even if they don't show it.

I am thankful for my health, husband, family & friends !!! Thank you heavens I feel very fortunate in my life, and believe me sometimes I have had to learn the hard way. Tell me what you are thankful for~ leave your message on my blog I welcome it.

Thought for the Day

Life appears to be too short to be spent in nursing animosity or registering wrong.

Charolette Bronte

Lord Buddha

There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt seperates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.

I doubted a friend and now she is hurt. I don't blame her and I am deeply sorry.

Budget Soup

Can of tomato soup
basil
salt to taste
pepper to taste
heat soup, add three eggs and poach. Do not over stir just fold the soup. Once eggs are cooked serve and top with seasoned croutons basil, and parmesan cheese. Soooo good!! Enjoy.

Holiday Traditions

What are your holiday traditions?

Since there is just my huband and I , we buy new PJ's and slippers for Christmas Eve and make cookies, listen to holiday music and enjoy each other's company. Our dogs Chue and Ce-Ce are of course right by our side. Then Christmas day I make a delicious breakfast with holiday music in the backround, no tv!! We open presents then later in the day  go for a hike in the snow, ohhh how refreshing and it burns off the cookies from Christmas Eve and Christmas breakfast.

I usually cook prime rib with lobster for Christmas dinner and make a very decadent dessert. Happy Holidays from our home to yours.

Delicious Fudge Recipe

One 14 ounce can of  condensed sweetened milk
12 ounces 70% semi sweet dark chocolate, chopped
2 tblsp butter
pinch of salt
1 cup nuts

Melt chocolate, condensed milk, butter and pinch of salt in heavy based pan on low heat.
Smash up nuts (smile)
Add the nuts to the melted chocolate, milk and butter. Stir well to mix.
Pour mixture into a 9inch square foil tray smoothing the top
Let fudge cool then refrigerate until set (approx. 1 hour)
You can freeze fudge if you want however, people will love it I don't think there will be any left:)

Massage Therapy

Give the gift of massage for that special person in your life. Massage is the perfect time for someone to relax and let go of all the stress and worry that come with the holiday season. Warm stones, steamed towels infused with essential oils combined with swedish and stretching movements take you to another state of being. Now that sounds like heaven if you ask me.

Gift certificates are perfect to put in a stocking. Call 360-874-0232 to purchase and be sure to get your massage from Marla Barrett, LMP.
